Section 2: Peace
Initially, I was not sure how I was going to write about “Peace” for this blog. Today, I received a powerful message to inspire me for today’s post. For about a month now, I had planned to attend a baptism for Madelyn Fontenot at The Family Church in Lafayette, Louisiana. As the service started, I heard people sing like angels in Heaven and I saw a message about the meaning of “Peace”. On the screen it said: “The Peace of God” “A Series on Mental Health”. Now, that was powerful!
“The Peace of God” is a phrase that encourages a person to have a deep sense of tranquility, contentment, and harmony from a strong spiritual connection. This type of peace is often sought after as a source of comfort, guidance, and strength during challenging times. It is a state of mind and heart that allows you to navigate life’s ups and downs with grace and resilience. Overall, the “Peace of God” is a concept that encourages people to find solace and serenity amidst the chaos of life.
Today, I wanted to share this message: Stop feeding the negative thoughts in your mind and change your mindset. This is not easy, especially for those who suffer with mental illness. In mental illness, people struggle to find peace and usually they do not love themselves. I encourage you to show love, support and comfort anyone who is struggling today!! I want to praise “The Family Church” for being bold and brave enough to address mental health as a focused topic for the people they serve. I shared a link for anyone who wants to hear the message of today: https://thefamilychurch.org/media/series/8c8tdmh/the-peace-of-god
Thank you Maddie for bringing me to this place today. I am forever grateful.
