Don’t let “leaks” rain on your parade..

Bladder leakage, also known as urine incontinence, is a sensitive subject for both men and women. Women tend to struggle with urine leakage more than men, primarily due to factors such as pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, and anatomical differences in the female urinary system. On the other hand, men usually experience urine leakage after prostate surgery.

No matter the reason why you leak urine, it is a senstive subject. Please talk to your urologist about treatment options. Depening on your location, there may be a specialized treatment clinic or therapy center near you that focuses on incontinence. Treatment options are different depending on the reason for the urine leakage. Some treatments include collagen, surgery, lifestyle changes, and pelvic floor exercises. Prior to any procedure, I encourage everyone to discuss risks of incontinence. Don’t forget to ask your surgeon about their success rate of incontinence prior to prostate surgery.
