Beauty is not just the physical appearance but also qualities such a kindness, inner strength, and authenticity. True beauty comes from within. As you travel through the journey of life, you will learn to appreciate a person’s innermost qualities like integrity, compassion, humility, honesty, resilience, open-mindedness, and a sense of gratitude. Our physical body is purely just a shell in which we exists. Even though we may not have all of these qualities, we can focus on personal growth to cultivate a better version of ourselves.
I want to address that society often places a significant emphasis on physical appearance, namely weight. Like skinny people are gorgeous while fluffy people are just OK! People allow this to foster an unrealistic standard of beauty that can lead to feelings of inadequancy or pressure to conform. Focusing on external appearance can sometimes overshadow the value of inner qualities and contribute to issues like body image and self-love.
Self-love is the practice of caring for and accepting oneself unconditionally, recognizing one’s worth, and prioritizing personal well-being. It involves nurturing a positive relationship with oneself while embracing both strengths and weaknesses. Cultivating self-love is essential for good mental and physical health.
Focus on seeing your own beauty. By shifting your perspective to focus on your own beauty and worth, you can cultivate a greater sense of worth and confidence in your own skin.
